Fenugreek

whole, organic

Fenugreek seed has a scent and taste similar to maple syrup. It is used in Middle Eastern, African, and Indian cuisine to flavor soups, daals, curries and other foods.
Use sparingly because the flavor is strong.

Fenugreek has been used in traditional medicine such as Ayurveda to treat inflammation, diabetes, and gastrointestinal disorders. It is also commonly used to stimulate breast milk supply.

Warning! Using fenugreek beyond ordinary culinary use should be done under the guidance of a medical professional. Pregnant women should avoid fenugreek as it can cause birth defects, and anyone else should research and consult with a medical professional before adding fenugreek to their diet, especially those with food allergies, certain cancers or medical conditions, or taking certain medications, such as for depression or blood clotting.
